Year 5 Trip to South Oxford Bowls Club

On Friday, some of our Year 5 children had the exciting opportunity to visit South Oxford Bowls Club in Hinksey for a day of learning and fun. Set in a picturesque location beside the railway and river, the children were introduced to the game of Bowls by the club’s friendly members. They had a go at playing, enjoyed some friendly matches, and even took on some of the experienced players! Each child was given a badge to remember their day. A huge thank you to Mrs. Simpson for organising the trip and to all the Bowls Club members for generously giving their time.

Highlights: Jake showed a real natural talent for Bowls, and Rubie-Rose’s frog discovery added a surprise twist to the day!

Peace Run Torch Relay Through Littlemore

Here are some fantastic pictures of the children running the Peace Run Torch through Littlemore, making their way to the underpass to pass it on to St. John Fisher. It was a powerful moment, full of unity, teamwork, and a shared commitment to peace. Well done to everyone involved—you truly represented our school with pride!

P.E. – Dance & Balance

This half-term in P.E., the children from Year One to Year Six have been exploring different genres of Dance. Across the school, they have studied: Rock & Roll, 70’s Disco, Bhangra, and Chinese Dance. They all worked really well together and had a great time learning and performing these dances.
